The French Quarter Alligators are a group of friends who have been co – workers in the music industry for many years have a mutual love for the music of New Orleans and they have come together to celebrate this music in all its forms. This music, from Jelly Roll Morton, Sidney Bechet, Louis Armstrong through to Fats Domino, Allen Toussaint, The Meters, James Booker, Professor Longhair and Harry Connick Jnr , to name just a few has been hugely influential on western music as a whole.
The band members are : John Conley bass and guitar, Willy Qua saxes, flute and percussion, Wil Sargisson keys and Rodney Ford drums and vocals.
Sharny Russell is a seasoned Australian jazz artist who has overcome major injuries from a life-changing car accident earlier in her life and has maintained a presence on the Australian jazz scene. A singer, pianist and composer of unique abilities, she has recorded on the ABC label and won the APRA Jazz Award. She has recorded with iconic Australian guitarist George Golla, performed with James and John Morrison, Vince Jones, Galapagos Duck, Andy Firth, and toured with Grace Knight.

The Sunshine Coast Jazz club is a non profit organisation that endeavours to bring to it’s members and jazz lovers the Best of the Best. The show will be an afternoon of entertainment not to be missed
