The Clarence Jazz Men Review

The opening “Hello Dolly” with a Louis vocal led into Duke's “Satin Doll” followed by a raunchy “Comin' Home”. We were really tappin' the tootsies. Warren's vocal of “What a Wonderful World” received a great round of applause. Pietro on clarinet finished the first set with inspired drumming from Warren and trombone from Dave with Juan Tizol's “Caravan”.

The next set “It Don't Mean a Thing” and “Georgia” Nat Adderley's “Work Song” added to the enjoyment and our sound man Ben sat in on keyboards with “Let the Good Times Roll”. By this time the floor was buzzing with the dancers. How could you not enjoy Dave's gutsy trombone and trumpet solos and Pierto's Clarinet and keyboard?  The afternoon closed with the encore of  Duke's “C Jam Blues”. Well, we didn't have any blues only that the afternoon was over.

Clarence Jazzmen, come back - we love your music -. Thanks for a fun afternoon of music.
