On Sunday 16th March the Power Boat Club was fired up by DEZZIE D & THE STINGRAYZ FEVER. Powerhouse leader DEZZIE D belted out some of the great R&R and R&B tunes from the 60's to the 90's
Peggy Lee's “Fever” was given a different interesting version, Louis Jordan's “Ain't Nobody here but us Chickens” had the audience bobbing along and doing their stuff on the dance floor. “Jump, Jive and Wail” and “Good Rockin' Daddy” featured Dezzie D and the great Stingrayz group. They are the real thing!!! “He Walks Right In”, “Knock Knock”, “Work Song” and “Twist the Night Away” finished the first set. The next set was no different song after song was given royal attention by Dezzie and the Stingrayz. The Stingrayz were all given plenty of solos to display their talents and our soundman Ben always had the music balanced. The final “That Mellow Saxophone” was a fitting finish to a fun-filled afternoon.
Thanks to DEZZIE D & THE STINGRAYZ FEVER what a Musical Treat!
